GROUP OFFERINGS
Parenting Group
Parents are given skills and strategies to help them deal with even the most challenging parenting situations. From simple disputes regarding chores and schoolwork to drug/alcohol use, sexual acting out or illegal behavior, parents are taught how to get through the challenges and are given support from other parents and group leaders. Screening done prior to group admission.
Teen Social Skills Group
Get support for getting back into the social scene. Small groups of peers that offer an affirming space to explore ourselves and practice identifying our feelings, needs, boundary setting, and digging into topics that affect our mental health such as exercise, self-care, and mindfulness practices. Participants are given structured topics lead by counselors who can help them explore, practice, and gain new skills that can be applied in their daily lives. Groups structured by ages. Screening done prior to group admission.
Adult Self-Compassion Group
You are not alone. Sometimes, as adults we can feel disconnected, like we are starting over and not sure where we are going. Having support and guidance as you navigate challenges in life can help you feel more empowered and lead to better self-esteem. Weekly sessions focus on the basics from self-care and mindfulness to digging deeper into issues that affect us all like trauma and negative self-talk. Counselors lead weekly sessions focused on particular themes to give a safe space for sharing and exploration. Screening done prior to group admission.
